Time: from 2004 to 2005
In this performance I tried to transform my mind and body as a buffalo. With the costume that I made for this performance I have been to the places where the buffalos are used to go. At the end I went to the water and swam as a buffalo. I wanted to feel the whole struggle when I read a famous story call ‘Nuruldunner Sarajiban’ –The life story of Nuruldin who revolted from the north of Bangladesh against the British Government of that time. It was a revolution against Indigo farming. When everything was taken from the family, Nuruldin had to become the cow to plough his land. The writer wrote the very single struggle and expression of the pulling cow like human being Nuruldin.
