Exhibition Designer: Tim Parsons (NOTE: work in progress - subject to change)

The proposed exhibition furniture alludes to an office-cum-studio space containing workstations for each participant, grouped roughly by the themes behind their work. These workstations are envisaged as being neutral and utilitarian (trestles and drawers are likely to be made from plywood with table tops in white melamine). Participants will show a range of work relating to their experience on the exchange (found objects, photographs, sketch work, models and finished pieces) in designed elements such as drawers, shelves, and boxes or pinned on pegboards. Entrance to the exhibition a project space introduces the HAT project, summarises the themes within the show and communicates the endeavour behind its creation. An educational element is integrated into this space allowing supervised groups to engage in some craft practice analogous to those of the participants. The design of the exhibition graphics will be consistent with this 'office-cum-studio' installation feel .
